In this lecture, we discuss different samples of complaint letter written by a student from the class. He gives a presentation of an old complaint letter he wrote from the past, and a new one that he wrote for the purpose of this course. We discuss the differences between the two versions and highlight the strength and weaknesses in them. We then give feedback for a student’s CV and cover letter which she wrote as part of her first exam.

We go through his email and give him feedback by highlighting the strength and weaknesses in his email and addressing the formality of his language. We then introduce some useful options that are given by email providers such as CC and BCC. In particular, we discuss when it is appropriate to use these two options in our emails.
