Regenerative Gas Turbines With Reheat And Intercooling

Two modifications of the basic gas turbine that increase the net work developed are multistage expansion with reheat and multistage compression with intercooling. When used in conjunction with regeneration, these modifications can result in substantial increases in thermal efficiency.
