تستعرض ھذه المحاضرة الممیزات العامة للأعمدة المصریة القدیمة. وتناقش مختلف انواع واشكال تلك الأعمدة، بدءا من الاعمدة البسیطة المربعة فالاعمدة ذات الشكل الھندسي المضلع بالاضافة الى نماذج أخرى من الاعمدة المستوحاة من البیئة المصریة المحیطة أو تلك التي تمثل اشكال آلھة المصریین القدماء. وتؤكد في الختام على ان الاعمدة المصریة متعددة في اشكالھا، ومختلفة في نماذجھا ، وتمتازبضخامة نسبھا وأحجامھا. وقد جاءت ملبیة للاحتیاجات الوظیفیة والجمالیة والرمزیة على حد سواء . كما وعكست الدور الحضاري المتقدم الذي وصل الیة مھندسوا الفراعنة في ذلك الوقت.
