Cover Letter Feedback

In this lecture, we have two more students giving a presentation on their own complaint letters. Both complaint letters are for a dress purchase from an online website. We discuss their writing and highlight the strength and weaknesses in their complaint letters in terms of form and content. We then give feedback for a student’s cover letter which she wrote as part of her first exam. Students engage in studying her cover letter and providing feedback on the content and format of her letter.

Writing Complaint Letter And Cv Feedback

In this lecture, we discuss different samples of complaint letter written by a student from the class. He gives a presentation of an old complaint letter he wrote from the past, and a new one that he wrote for the purpose of this course. We discuss the differences between the two versions and highlight the strength and weaknesses in them. We then give feedback for a student’s CV and cover letter which she wrote as part of her first exam.

Making Conversation Using "Used To"

After closing the previous lecture with a preparation activity on things the students used to do and are used to doing, this lecture gives the students the chance to talk with each other about these things.The students are given a handout to help them in their speaking practice. After the students finish their speaking, the teacher gives some feedback on some language to work on and language to upgrade.

Having A Debate

This lecture provides the students the chance to state their opinions on several topics specified by the teacher in a competitive activity. The students share their ideas through group work, and they need to use the debating language that was indicated in the previous lecture. In the other part of the lecture the students prepare their groups to form a real debatable situation, in which they are divided into a with and against team to debate in front of their classmates.At the end of the lecture, feedback is given to the students regarding their language use.
