In the lecture, we move from the experience of writing a CV into the experience of writing a cover letter, which also is an important skill to have for job applicants. We cover the basics of what a cover letter is, we discuss its purpose and its importance from an employer point of view, and we briefly highlight the characteristics of a good cover letter and a bad cover letter. Moreover, we emphasize the differences between cover letters and CVs.
