يتم تعريف الطالب بمعنى الطباعة وسبب ظهور الطباعة وطريقة الطباعة باختلاف الخامات فمنها الطباعة على الخشب من خلال نقش الخشب لعمل بروز او مساحات غائرة ومن ثم اضافة الحبر على سطحه لطباعته على سطح اخر والطباعة على الحجر من خلال سنفرة السطح واضافة مادة دهنية على المكان الغير مراد طبعه على الورق واضافة الحبر او اللون على المساحات الاخرى المراد طبعها الطباعة على اللينو الشبيه بقطعة الخشب وهو مادة مطاطية والطباعة على المعادن من خلال حرق المساحات بمادة النتريك والطباعة على الشاشة الحريرية من خلال غلق بعض المساحات بمادة غرائية لعدم ظهورها في الطباعة .
