People use all kinds of greetings in their emails. In this lecture, we study a wide range of greetings people use to start their emails and ones that are used to close their emails. We discuss these greetings in relation to the particular audience to receive the email, and we therefore categorize them into formal and informal greetings. At the end of the lecture, the students are given an email writing task where they are required to contact a school in London enquiring for information about the registration process in this school.
