This is an introductory lecture aimed at familiarizing students with the most basic uses of emails. We have a discussion on when it is appropriate to send out emails, and we also discuss the differences between instant messaging application and the experience of sending and receiving emails. In doing so, we point out the advantages of emails as opposed to instant messaging applications, and we highlight situations or contexts where sending out emails is the best way to communicate and exchange information.
