Description:

The purpose of this lecture is to introduce the students to what is miscommunication ,how it happens, and how to avoid it. The lecture starts with an activity where the students write how their group members perceive them, and they end up with guessing who wrote what. The purpose behind the activity is to show how miscommunication can easily happen through judgements and not giving the space to understand each other. Other situations are provided in the lecture to have the students analyse why miscommunication happened. The lecture ends with explaining how to avoid miscommunication by asking the speakers what they mean, and by not jumping to conclusion.
