The purpose of this lecture is mainly to introduce the students to the skills of persuasion, and how to employ their English language to serve this aim. The lecture tackles the definition of persuasion, the importance of persuasion, and the everyday situations that need persuasion. In the first part of the lecture the students have to brainstorm with their groups the situations that they face and that they use persuasion in. The teacher follows the situations with explaining the secrets to being persuasive, and the expressions used when you try to persuade someone. At the end of lecture, the students in their groups get different situations adapted from real life to practice being persuasive.
