Description:

This lecture introduces more formal ways of persuasion techniques to be used in everyday life. The teacher starts with explaining situations on these techniques, and then asks the students to match those introduced techniques with their situation. The topic of the lecture shifts to discussing debates, as the students have to discuss in their group the meaning of a debate. A video is played afterward to explain the main points about debates and the students have to answer a number of questions while watching this video. The lecture ends with a guest speaker from the U.K, who engages the students with an activity to practice their persuasive and debating skills.
